AN AIR management firm in Bradford has strengthened its links with the city's college by sponsoring categories at its Higher Education Awards.
Mansfield Pollard, based on Parry Lane, helped Bradford College recognise the academic achievements and personal triumphs of its students.
One of the awards - Engineering Electrical Student - that was sponsored by the company was won by Aftab Hussain, who is a trainee engineer at Mansfield Pollard.
Aftab has achieved a First Class Honours degree in electrical and electronic engineering, and an overall distinction grade in HND electrical and electronic engineering.
Anthony Huison, engineering lecturer at Bradford College, said: "Mansfield Pollard's continued involvement reflects the links which exist between higher education and the business community. We appreciate all the support that they have given us over the years."
Paul Dresser, commercial director at Mansfield Pollard, said: “Mansfield Pollard has invested significant efforts to establish itself as an employer of choice in Bradford and our relationship with Bradford College is helping us to identify young engineering talent. As a business it is really exciting to nurture those who will play an important part in our firm’s future."
