A DISCARDED cigarette started a small fire at a house in Bradford last night.
Fire crews from Fairweather Green and Cleckheaton were called to New Cross Street, West Bowling, at about 7.45pm.
An occupant of the property dropped a cigarette from a second floor window which fell into a gutter already containing discarded butts.
It started a fire in roofing under felt which then spread to plastic cladding, said a fire service spokesman.
