A QUAD bike rider has suffered head and serious leg injuries in a crash with a car in Bradford.
The rider, a man in his mid 20s, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary following the collision with a Nissan Micra in Smith Lane, near Bradford Royal Infirmary, shortly after 3pm yesterday.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed the quad bike rider's leg injury was serious but not life threatening.
The Micra driver, a 21-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Smith Lane was sealed off while recovery of the vehicles could take place.
Tahira Bano, 33, witnessed the crash which took place at the junction with Coniston Grove.
She said: “It happened so quick.
“The quad bike rider was not wearing a helmet and he was driving fast.
“The rider and his quad bike went over the top of the car.”
