George Galloway’s spokesman Ron McKay said he and another member of staff had been opening mail this afternoon when a letter addressed to ‘George Galloway and The Respect Party’ was opened.

He said: “Whoever sent it claimed to have been a medic in West Africa who had taken the handkerchief from an Ebola victim, and basically it said it would perish all who open it.”
Police were called and quarantine was set up for one hour until reassurances were given that there was no risk of infection.
