TRAIN services were returning to normal after being delayed between Bradford and Halifax because of a line-side fire.
Northern Rail said all lines were blocked as a result of the blaze, which happened near Halifax.
Firefighters from Brighouse fire station were called to the scene at about 5.45pm today.
A Northern Rail spokesman said the 5.18pm service between Bradford and Halifax was halted at the scene of the fire.
The spokesman added: "We have stopped running trains while it is investigated. Any trains on that line will be stopped for the time being."
Several train services were affected by the incident, before the line was cleared and back in operation by about 6.45pm.
