A 46-YEAR-OLD man is set to stand trial accused of attacking an apprentice mechanic with a butcher's knife.
Mohammed Fahad, of Agar Street, Four Land Ends, Bradford, is charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding the teenager with intent to do him grievous bodily harm at Thorn Motors, Girlington, Bradford, on December 29 last year.
Fahad is further accused of having an offensive weapon, a butcher's knife, in Thorn Court at the same time.
He was not in court yesterday for a short hearing when the case was adjourned until next Thursday.
The trial is set to begin on June 8.
Fahad, who is in custody, was being assessed by a psychiatrist to see if he was fit to plead, the court heard.
