A MAN has been arrested and charged on suspicion of stealing a bicycle in Bradford city centre.

He was seen on CCTV carrying the bike with its lock still attached and reported to officers from the Bradford City Neighbourhood Policing Team, who identified him as a known criminal in the area.

Local PCSOs located the man, and found the bike hidden under a pile of bin bags close by.

The man was charged with the theft of the bike, which has now been returned to its rightful owner.

He has been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
