THREE Bradford district care homes have been rated inadequate after being inspected.
Duchess Gardens Care Centre, in Lady Lane, Bingley, run by Elder Homes, was rated as inadequate overall after it was inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on January 27 and February 2 this year.
It was rated inadequate in four categories - being safe, caring, well-led and responsive.
Shakespeare Court Care Home, in Shakespeare Close, Bradford, run by Middlesex-based Handsale Limited, received the same rating after being inspected by the CQC on November 11 last year and February 3 this year.
It was rated inadequate for the service being safe, caring, well-led and responsive.
Oakworth Manor Care Home, in Colne Road, Oakworth, has also been ranked as inadequate by the CQC, but no detailed report of its latest inspection was available.
The CQC added that it is carrying out checks at all three of the homes using its new way of inspecting services. Its checks will be published in the future.
