A PRIMARY school can now welcome two-year-olds to its site after opening up a new £850,000 nursery building.
Crossley Hall Primary School and Children's Centre in Thornton Road, Fairweather Green, Bradford, will now welcome 124 extra children aged two and three-year-old after its new nursery building opened its doors to pupils.
It has been built through Bradford Council's schools expansion project.
The Council decided to expand its existing schools and construction work at Crossley Hall Primary School began in October last year.
The school will also employ ten extra staff, with five of those already working in the building.
The nursery building will have its official opening in July.
Head teacher Michael Thorp said: "It's absolutely fantastic.
"It is great to know we have the continuity for families that their children can stay here until they are 11.
"It is the first time we have catered for two-year-olds at the school.
"That makes it a real community resource.
"The nursery building will also feature 90 reception aged children. It will take our total number of pupils up to nearly 700 in September."
