BRITISH Transport Police have released images of two men wanted in connection with a vicious assault on three passengers on a train heading for Bradford.
The victims, including a father and son, were attacked on a train travelling between Skipton and Bradford Forster Square, as it approached Crossflatts station, at around 9.15pm on Saturday, April 4.
PC Katherine Purcell, of BTP, said: “The father and son, aged 51 and 20, asked a group of men, who were being noisy, to quieten down.
“Two of the men responded aggressively, attacking the father. His son came to his aid, and was himself set upon.
“Another passenger bravely intervened to try and defuse the situation, but was himself assaulted, sustaining deep cuts to his eye which required hospital treatment.”
The attackers got off at Crossflatts station.
Officers have reviewed CCTV from the train and are issuing images of the suspects.
