STAFF from a hardware store in Bradford have taken part in a national fundraising drive.
To mark the opening of its 400th store, Screwfix asked employees from each of its shops to take part in a cycling challenge.
Cameron Mackenzie-Smith, Michael Greene, Benjamin Atkinson and Kane Binns rode from the store in Bowling to the branch in Brown Royd, before Leanne McTavish went from Brown Royd to Shipley.
The nationwide challenge is set over eight weeks and the aim is to raise £100,000 for the Screwfix Foundation. It started in Inverness and will finish in Hinckley.
Mr Mackenzie-Smith said: “The Tour De Screwfix was a fantastic challenge and to be part of. everyone should be really proud of the part they played and we can’t wait to see the final amount we’ve all helped to raise.”
The Screwfix Foundation now wants charities in and around Bradford to apply for a share of the funds raised by its tour.
