A HAWORTH man overcame debilitating blisters to complete a gruelling 24-hour non-stop walk in aid of Manorlands.
Ross Montgomery started suffering hours after setting off from the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice on his energy-sapping challenge.
But he hobbled home the following day and has raised nearly £700 – about three times his original target.
“I knew the challenge would be difficult but I didn’t expect it to be as tough as it was,” said Mr Montgomery, 32, a warehouseman and driver.
Mr Montgomery covered about 63 miles, taking in towns including Hebden Bridge, Halifax, Dewsbury and Brighouse.
