TWO companies prosecuted following the collapse of a hotel balcony in Brighouse will next appear at court in Bradford on October 15.
Casa Events Ltd and Castelite Ltd admitted charges under the Health and Safety at Work Act at a previous hearing, but the case was adjourned at Bradford Crown Court yesterday for further legal arguments to be prepared.
Five people needed hospital treatment after the balcony at the Casa Hotel, on Elland Road, collapsed and fell about 12 feet to a patio area below, in February 2013.
The next hearing is scheduled for the same court on October 15.
