UKIP claims voters in Bradford can "have their cake and eat it", and has unveiled a rosette-themed cake to drive home the point.
The party's Bradford district chairman and Bradford South candidate Jason Smith said in last year's local elections, Ukip candidates in Bradford South had "received a huge slice of the political cake".
He said: "This year we hope to earn a bigger piece of the cake. We suggest Conservative voters might want to give the Ukip cake a try this year or risk choking on the Labour one and regretting it."
Lois Wood, Ukip local election candidate for the Royds ward, added: "With Ukip you really can have your cake and eat it. You can have lower taxes and more money for public services by cutting overseas spending."
