AN ARREST warrant has been issued for a Bradford man accused of starving three Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies to death.
Mark Alred, 39, failed to attend Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court to answer a charge of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal yesterday.
The suffering is alleged to have taken place between December 19 last year and January 2, with Alred, of Green Lane, said to have failed to provide the animals with a nutritionally balanced diet, which led to their deaths.
Nigel Monaghan, prosecuting on behalf of the RSPCA, asked for a warrant to be issued for Alred's arrest, and chairman of the bench, John Bruce, granted the request.
