POLICE were tonight dealing with the aftermath of a crash on busy Harrogate Road, Bradford, that ended with a Nissan Micra wrapped around a tree.
The incident is thought to have happened shortly after 8pm at the junction of Harrogate Road and Leeds Road, near the Prince of Wales pub.
The car had left the road and ended up on an embankment, narrowly passing between a road sign and lamppost, before hitting a tree, which prevented it from careening into the wall of a property.
The accident was just a few yards from a bus shelter.
It is unclear if there had been any serious injuries, who had been driving the car or what the cause of the crash was.
Several police officers, including a crime scene investigator, remained at the scene for several hours afterwards, directing traffic around the accident and closing off one lane of Harrogate Road.
