BRADFORD City’s appearance in the 2013 League Cup Final has been ranked the 20th most memorable Wembley moment of all-time in a new poll.
The findings were collated by Travelodge to mark the opening of the company’s 503rd UK hotel, which is located just minutes from the national stadium.
The Bantams, then in League Two, claimed the scalps of three Premier League sides – Wigan Athletic, Arsenal, and Aston Villa – in the memorable cup run, only to lose 5-0 to Swansea in the final.
The top two moments in the 2,000 strong poll came from England’s World Cup Final victory in 1966, with Queen’s performance at Live Aid in 1985 voted in third place.
