A WOMAN in her 80s suffered bumps and bruises after losing control of her car and crashing into a house in Fairweather Green.
Fire crews from Fairweather Green, Shipley and Cleckheaton were called to the property in Haworth Road at around 1.05pm yesterday.
The woman, who was driving a Citroen C3, lost control of the vehicle, mounted the pavement, went through a wooden fence and crashed into a house.
She was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Watch commander Roger Binns, of Fairweather Green Fire Station, said: “The residents of the house were in at the time and watching television in another room.
“They were startled. The elderly lady was very lucky.
“There is damage to the property but it is still structurally sound.”
