MEMBERS of the legal profession from across the district attended the annual Bradford Law Society dinner.
The event was held at the Midland Hotel in Bradford city centre, and saw solicitors and members of the judiciary in attendance.
Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC was the guest speaker.
Society president Caroline Makin, the society’s fourth female president in its near 140 year history, said: “This was our traditional annual dinner that has been running for many years.” The founding and managing partner of Makin Dixon solicitors, which specialises in family law, working with children at risk and victims of domestic abuse, added: “It was also attended by members of the judiciary.”
At the dinner, family solicitor Amy Foweather was presented with the Cawthron prize for young solicitors.
The annual award was dedicated to the memory of former Bradford solicitor Richard Cawthron, who died more than 30 years ago.
