VISITORS were transported back to the time when the Taylors inhabited Red House Museum.
Friends of Red House, Mandy Tyas and Jacqueline Ryder, who is also the chairman of the Friends group, donned the guise of Mrs Taylor and her servant, Lizzie, respectively, during Mrs Taylor’s Afternoon Tea.
Coincidentally, Taylor’s of Harrogate donated a variety of teas for the event which explored the history of tea drinking at the museum in Oxford Road, Gomersal.
Jacqueline said: “Mandy and I really enjoyed researching and devising this event, and judging by the feedback, our guests enjoyed it too. Using the house in this way, and having characters in costume, really brought the house alive.
“I hope we can do more events like this in future.”
