A WOMAN has died aged 53 after a five-year battle against cancer.
Eileen Porter, who was born in Sutton, near Keighley, and educated at the village primary school before attending South Craven School, underwent specialist treatment in Switzerland earlier this year in an unsuccessful bid to beat the disease.
Mrs Porter, who lived in Skipton, spent a great deal of time at Carleton Endowed Church of England Primary School.
Her funeral service is takes place at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Skipton, on Friday, May 1 at 1.30pm The service will be followed by a cremation at Waltonwrays and farewell party after which her life will be celebration of her life at Skipton RUFC.
