BRADFORD residents have been urged to get their walking boots on to join a fundraising team in this year’s Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is looking for people to sign up for its team to raise cash for its cause.
The hiking challenge, on Saturday, July 11, starts at Horton in Ribblesdale, for the first peak, Pen-y-Ghent, continuing on towards Whernside to take in the Ribblehead Viaduct and then onto Ingleborough for the final ascent.
Entry fees are £35 for adults, this event is open to over-17s. Under-18s must be accompanied with an adult for the duration of the hike.
The BHF is urgently appealing to participants to raise as much sponsorship money as they can as the entry fee purely goes towards the cost of running the event safely.
To register, go to bhf.org.uk/Y3P or email events@bhf.org.uk.
