A GROUP of horse lovers has organised a fundraiser to support the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Gay Illingworth, who helps run Morton Showing Society riding club in East Morton, has organised a race night at The Raggalds Bar in Queensbury.
The charity is one Ms Illingworth has had first-hand experience of.
She said: “My partner had a heart attack at Leeds Bradford Airport and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance lifted him to hospital. Without their help I don’t know where we would be today.
“I also have a friend who fell off her horse and the air ambulance service helped her, so it’s a cause that is really close to my heart.”
The event is tomorrow and doors open at 7pm, with a £2 entry fee.
There will be raffles and auctions, with prizes including go-karting tickets worth over £180, make-up by Combat worth £200, wine and chocolates.
Ms Illingworth, 54, expects at least 200 people to attend.
People can donate prizes to The Raggalds Bar, Brighouse and Denholme Road, Queensbury, at any time.
