WARDENS and a ward officer will ask residents in Canterbury, Bradford, to dispose of household waste responsibly.
Today, leaflets entitled Help Make a Difference in BD5 will be delivered to houses telling people how to report problems, how they can help keep their area clean, and how to find a local household waste recycling centre.
Wardens will encourage residents to take up free recycling bins and they will work with local young people to clear up the land around the Arc Youth Centre.
The work is taking place prior to the Canterbury Carnival and Parade, which will commence at the end of next month.
