A GROUP for Ukrainians wants would-be MPs to set out their views on the crisis in Ukraine to help them decide who to vote for.
Orysia Chymera, chairman of the Bradford Branch of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain, said: “Vladimir Putin is behaving like a tyrant in 21st century Europe.
“Stopping Putin is essential for Ukraine and Europe’s future.
“There isn’t a more important issue going into the General Election.
“We want to find out what our parliamentary candidates’ positions are on the situation in Ukraine and want to know what they think should be done to stop Putin.”
Yesterday, George Grant, Conservative parliamentary candidate for Bradford West, paid a visit to the Ukrainian community centre in Legrams Lane, Bradford to talk to members about his views on the situation.
Afterwards, he said the suffering of people in Ukraine was “just beyond awful”.
He said: “We need to stand up to bullies and Vladimir Putin is a bully.”
