A CONVICTED paedophile has pleaded guilty to repeatedly inviting three children into his home in breach of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order.
David Betts, 65, appeared at Bradford Crown Court in custody today after he was locked up on prison licence recall in December.
Betts, of Heybeck Walk, Holme Wood, Bradford, admitted six breaches of the order, between March 14 last year and December 8.
He was sentenced to a three-and-a-half year extended prison term at Bradford Crown Court on January 23, 2012, for a string of indecent assaults on a vulnerable teenager.
Betts was then made the subject of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order for an indefinite period.
Prosecutor Jeremy Lindsay said Betts may have to stay in prison until 2018.
"He won't be released until the Parole Board indicates that he is fit to be released," he said.
Betts' solicitor advocate, Anne-Marie Hutton, said he was keen to know his fate as soon as possible.
Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC adjourned the case until May 26 so that a probation officer can visit Betts in prison and prepare a report, detailing if the breaches were thought to be a misunderstanding or if he was "up to his old tricks again."
