A FOOTBALL fan from Bradford enjoyed the experience of a lifetime by playing in a match at Wembley.

Rhys Ellis won Vauxhall’s One More Game competition to be part of a team led by former Arsenal and England star Ian Wright.

And he finished on the winning side as Wright struck the winner in a 3-2 victory against a team captained by Tubes, of TV show Soccer AM.

Cheryl Stibbs, Vauxhall's sponsorship marketing manager, said: “The One More Game match has given supporters the opportunity to fulfil every football fan’s dream of playing on the Wembley pitch that has created so many memories throughout the years."

“Everyone seemed to relish playing in the match, not to mention being led by two brilliant captains and playing alongside our guest players.

“Congratulations to Team Wrighty on their victory, both sides played a spirited match, but there could only be one winner.”

Other star names taking part included ex-Arsenal and England players Ray Parlour and Martin Keown, footballer-turned-boxer Leon McKenzie, ex-Leeds United and Chelsea defender Michael Duberry, and rapper Wretch 32.

Match winner, Ian Wright said: “Most of the players would never have got the opportunity to play at Wembley so it’s something they can cherish for the rest of their lives.”
