A SILSDEN woman has spoken of her delight at the success of a charity recipe book.
Sales of the book, in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, are set to smash through the £10,000 mark.
Initially just 500 copies were produced by Farm Stay Yorkshire.
But now, two years on, more than 3,500 have been sold.
Farm Stay Yorkshire chairman Lisa Preston, who runs a B&B at Pickersgill Manor Farm, Silsden, said: “The Yorkshire Air Ambulance plays a vital role in farming communities across the county.
“We set ourselves the big fundraising target of £10,000 and have just been amazed and delighted at how popular the recipe book has proved to be.”
The book, which has a foreword written by BBC Countryfile presenter Adam Henson, was published to mark the 30th anniversary of Farm Stay UK, a national group of on-farm accommodation providers.
The 85-member Yorkshire group hopes to break through its fundraising target with an afternoon tea event at Old Holme Farm, High Grantley, near Ripon, on May 12.
