A GROUP of businessmen have completed the latest stage of a mountainous challenge in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The adventurers aim to conquer the 12 highest peaks in the UK and Ireland, tackling one a month. They labelled the walk society – recently took on Cross Fell, in the north Pennines.
“Due to a combination of only 20-feet visibility and our navigation sending us on a magical mystery tour we also scaled Scafell Pike,” said Rob Lewis, from Steeton, managing director of credit control agency Corporate & Commercial.
“Our treks are always fun but I’ve got to be honest when I found out we’d done an extra peak by accident, fun was not the first word that came to mind.”
The next challenge is Helvellyn.
