FOLK hero Mike Harding presents an evening of poetry in Bradford next month.
With a resume that reads folk singer and songwriter, poet and playwright, comedian and broadcaster, fell-walker and fly-fisherman, it’s hard to pigeon-hole Mike Harding.
Described by Billy Connolly as the “funniest man in England” and acknowledged as the Grandfather of Folk, Mike’s current focus has shifted to his poetry and, in particular, an opportunity to share his work with a live audience.
With four published anthologies to his credit, he’s taking his poetry on a tour of small theatres and arts centres in the North. And as well as reading his work, he’ll be telling the personal stories that prompted him to write them.
Mike will be at the Alhambra Studio on Saturday, May 9. For tickets call (01274) 432000.
