ALMOST £7,000 has been awarded to a voluntary group in Calderdale to help them stage an array of events celebrating the Tour de Yorkshire next month.
A cycling stunt show, songwriting workshops and a community picnic are just some of the exciting activities that people will be able to enjoy, thanks to a fund created by Calderdale Council to support local events linked to the Tour.
It is designed to help get communities involved and boost visitor numbers.
The inaugural Tour de Yorkshire takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 1 to 3, with the cycling race hitting Calderdale on the Sunday.
