PEOPLE who want to have their say on how local transport networks are developed have just a few more days to do so.
The deadline for the public consultation of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s Single Transport Plan is Thursday, April 30.
It has invited individuals and organisations to contribute to shaping the new plan, which will be a 20-year vision for a developing an effective, efficient and integrated transport network for the Leeds City Region.
Hundreds of people have used the questionnaire at www.westyorks-ca.gov.uk/stp-survey to provide their views and copies are available from Travel Centres at West Yorkshire’s Metro Bus Stations.
WYCA Chair and Wakefield Council Leader Councillor Peter Box said: “Our ambition is to underpin economic growth and housing development across the City Region by investing £1 billion in projects to develop a quick, convenient and clean, integrated transport network.
“It is important that at each stage we take on board the views of individuals and organisations to ensure we are developing a plan that matches their needs and expectations.”
