FOUR amateur rugby league teams will play at the premier venue for the sport in Bradford on Saturday.
Odsal Stadium, home of Bradford Bulls, will host Queensbury, Queensbury A, Victoria Rangers A and West Bowling in the Bradford Amateur Rugby League finals day.
A Bradford Bulls spokesman said: “We are delighted to welcome the finals day back to the Provident Stadium, Odsal. These clubs are the very fabric of rugby league in our city and we are looking forward to hosting two exciting cup finals.”
Queensbury A play Victoria Rangers A in the Hudson Foster Trophy final at 1.30pm, and West Bowling face Queensbury in the Jack Senior Memorial final from 3.30pm. Entry is £6 adults and £3 (concessions) to get in. Under-14s get in free.
Proceeds will be shared between the finalists, plus Clayton, Odsal Sedbergh, Wibsey Warriors and Wyke.
Organiser John Piercy said: “Most of these clubs have been at the heart of their local communities for decades, running both youth and senior teams. Wyke, for instance, were founded in 1892 and are possibly the oldest amateur club in existence anywhere in the world.
“Our finals have been played at Odsal for well over 50 years and we are delighted to be back this year.”
