BRADFORD Bulls first team stars will be handing out books at the launch of two Little Free Libraries in Baildon tomorrow.
Under the scheme, large boxes will be filled with hundreds of titles to borrow and exchange, with one box full of children’s books beside the Southcliffe Drive play area and another containing books for adults outside the neighbouring Incommunities’ flats.
The project has been developed by Baildon Community Link and Incommunities with the help of funding from Bradford Council’s Shipley Area Committee – the wooden boxes were made by some of Incommunities’ construction trainees.
The unveiling event at Baildon Community Link will include a barbecue, poetry readings, storytelling sessions by Baildon library staff, plus the chance to meet sporting stars, and will run for two hours from 3.30pm.
