Mavis’ big plant sale
A PENSIONER hopes to raise £1,000 for the British Heart Foundation with her annual plant sale.
Mavis Clements, who is in her 80s and whose husband was looked after by a BHF nurse, last year raised £930 for the charity and is holding the event for the sixth year running.
She began holding the plant sale because a British Heart Foundation nurse looked after her husband.
The event will be at Mrs Clements’ home, 48 Gledhow Drive, Oxenhope, on Tuesday, April 28, from 10am to noon and 2pm to 4pm. There will be stalls, tea and cakes, a raffle and other attractions.
