A CHARITY is opening a pop-up shop selling refurbished second hand bicycles in Shipley.
The Margaret Carey Foundation’s shop offers good quality second-hand bikes that have been repaired to a high standard in one of the charity’s prison or community-based workshops.
The charity is also appealing to members of the public to take along any old bikes that are no longer used to supply their workshops.
Fundraising and development officer Helen Rowlands said: “We are currently experiencing a shortage of bikes to supply our workshops. If you have an unwanted bike in the back of the garage or at the bottom of the garden, please consider donating it to Margaret Carey Foundation.
“It doesn’t matter what condition it is in, even if it has wheels, a saddle or brakes missing as it can be repaired. Please bring any bikes along to the shop on May 2 to donate.”
The bike shop will be at 30 Westgate, Shipley, from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, May 2. Contact Helen Rowlands at Helen@margaretcareyfoundation.org.uk or on 07874 627801.
