A GROUP set up to improve relations between different communities in Keighley will man a stall in the town this summer to help mark Armed Forces Day.
Members of Keighley Community Through Unity will be part of the event in Victoria Park on June 21, which is being arranged by Keighley Armed Forces Association. The stall will be present from 10am to 5pm.
Group founder Paul Skinner (pictured), who is a former soldier, said: “Keighley Community through Unity is organising a ‘brothers in arms’ stall at this annual celebration.
“We would like people to come and share their own veterans’ story, or the story of their family members who have served with, or alongside British Armed Forces in the past.
“We particularly would like to highlight and give respect to military service given by family members from Commonwealth and other overseas countries who have been our brothers in arms.”
He added that the group was also looking to publish veterans’ stories on its own website, in order to share these experiences more widely.
