A CHILDREN’S charity is calling on residents and businesses across West Yorkshire to enjoy a cuppa as part of its annual ‘Cream Teas in a Box’ fundraising campaign.
Action Medical Research will deliver refreshing British cream teas directly to workplaces, schools, and colleges on Thursday, June 18.
The teas, which cost £6, will contain two freshly baked scones, two small jars of strawberry jam, Rodda’s Cornish clotted cream, and three strawberry crème chocolates, as well as the more traditional Yorkshire tea, knife and serviette.
Tracey Edwards, Action’s cream tea events manager, said: “Come on, West Yorkshire, take a break! Bond over a brew with friends and colleagues and help raise funds for sick babies and children.”
Action Medical Research is currently supporting stillbirth, epilepsy, meningitis, cerebral palsy, and brain cancer, as well as other rare and distressing conditions that severely affect children.
Minimum orders of ten teas can be made online before June 5 by visiting action.org.uk/cream-teas.
