A GIANT figure has appeared on a hillside near Stanbury, Keighley.

The 150ft-high artwork has been produced by the Green Party.

Campaigners say the figure – visible from Main Street and Sun Lane, at Stanbury – was created using environmentally friendly, toxin-free materials.

Ros Brown, the Greens’ Keighley parliamentary candidate, said: “Our party is committed to working with other like-minded politicians from across the spectrum to ensure Britain starts taking serious action on environmental protection and climate change.

“We need our next government to adopt more green policies and to stand-up at the next climate summit in Paris in November for measures that ensure global temperatures do not rise beyond two degrees.

“The ‘Stanbury Giant’ gives a call to action for all of us to stand-up for the future of the next generation.”
