MEMBERS of Bradford City’s newly-formed disabled supporters’ group met their Sheffield United counterparts when the Bantams and Blades clashed at Bramall Lane.
The Disabled Supporters Organisation of Sheffield United FC set up a presentation and exchange of pennants (pictured) with Bantams Disabled Organisation (DO) on the pitch prior to the fixture on Saturday.
There was also a parade around the ground at half-time.
The meeting took place during Level Playing Fields Weeks of Action, which ends on May 3, a programme of events that aims to promote inclusion and ensure equal access to sports for all.
Kate Eveleigh, chairman of Bradford DO, said: “As a new group, we are always looking for opportunities to interact with other similar groups and support campaigns such as Level Playing Fields Weeks of Action.”
Matthew Groves-Hemingway, Bantams DO committee member, said: “Meeting the Sheffield United Disabled Organisation and parading around the pitch was awesome.
