THE Pets at Home shop in Idle, Bradford,is hosting an advice session on Saturday, April 25, from 10am to 4pm, on how to keep fleas and worms at bay. Owners of dogs and cats can get tips on how to protect their pets.
Deputy manager Amy Royal said: “Fleas are small blood-sucking insects and love pets’ fur, beds and blankets. Difficult to see, they’re incredible jumpers, fast moving, only 2mm long and dark. For every flea you see on your pet, there can be 95 in your home hidden in carpets and even clothes.Worms are nasty parasites causing upset stomachs, agitation and digestive problems."
Owners will get help to select best treatments for pets.
