THE Deputy Lord Mayor of Bradford will attend two celebration events to mark St George’s Day this year.
Councillor Roger L’amie will be at The City of Bradford Scouts’ annual parade and service on Sunday, April 26.
Local scout groups will assemble in Centenary Square in the city centre from 11am for the parade to Bradford Cathedral, where a service will be held at 12.30pm.
At 1.15pm people will assemble in Cathedral Close before marching back to the city centre at 1.30pm, where Cllr L’amie will take the salute. Then at 1.45pm there will be a short display by two bands before the event finishes at 2.30pm.
Later in the day, at 2.45pm, Cllr L’amie will join the Aire Valley District Scouts to take the parade salute at the railway bridge in Saltaire — which follows a service at 2pm at the Saltaire United Reformed Church in Victoria Road.
