AL’S Dime Bar on Bradford’s North Parade will host a gig to raise funds for Crohn’s and Colitis UK on May 16.
The event is hosted by Emily McKinley and the line-up of local musicians, artists, and entertainers includes John Boxall, Dave McKinley, Nervous 'Orse, George Quinn, Liz Mackenzie, Macca’s Music, Sylwia Adamczyk, Chezlington Chezlethwaite and Dan Collins.
Mrs McKinley, whose husband Dave suffers from Crohn’s disease, said: “The charity supports sufferers of all ages, and can be a real lifesaver for families. Dave is one of more than 260,000 people in the UK who have Crohn’s or Colitis. He is often asked to donate time for one worthy cause or another, and in all the time he’s been doing charity gigs he had never been asked to do one for Crohn’s & Colitis, an illness he has suffered with for the past 12 years."
“So, we put our thinking caps on as to how we could raise funds and awareness to put this hidden illness on the map.”
