A MODERNISED post office in Bradford offering more than 13 extra opening hours a week has been given a stamp of approval.
The newly-refurbished branch in Kensington Street, Girlington, will be open from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday, from Wednesday, May 6.
The current post office will close at 5.30pm on Friday, May 1, to allow the refurbishment to take place.
Alternative facilities will be available at Lilycroft post office, on Lilycroft Road, or Princeville post office, at the Fieldhead Shopping Centre, on Legrams Lane.
Post Office area manager Julie Kemp said: “We are confident that this vibrant new-style post office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.
“This modernisation is part of a major investment plan, the largest in the history of the post office’s history, and the investment marks a commitment to our no more branch closure programme.”
