VANDALS smashed a police car's windscreen with a brick in a random attack in Bradford last night.
Officers had left the car on Cumberland Road, Lidget Green, to chase two men who had dumped a car and ran off.
When they returned to the police car, they found it had been vandalised.
A police spokesman said the incident came about after officers had tried to stop a blue Mazda RX8 car on Horton Grange Road at about 8.45pm.
He added: "There was a very short pursuit to Legrams Lane where the vehicle was dumped. Two men, believed to be Asian, ran off.
"The officers gave chase on foot, but did not find them. They returned to the car to find a brick had been thrown at the windscreen."
Any witnesses are asked to call police on 101.
