A TEAM at a Keighley mosque has presented more than £500 to Manorlands.
Ten members of the UKIM Madina Mosque raised the cash through sponsorship in the Keighley BigK 10K run last month.
The team was led by Yassa Yaseen, who had a family member benefit from the support of a Manorlands community nurse five years ago.
He has taken part in the annual run every year since 2012 and this time enlisted the group of friends.
“Manorlands provides a great service for people in the area and everyone was very keen to support the run for such a good cause,” he said.
Lizzie Procter, director at the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice, visited the Spencer Street mosque to receive the cheque from (from left) Idnan Amin, Amar Iqbal, Yassa Yaseen, Imran Iqbal, Sajid Ali and Nasser Iqbal.
“We cannot thank the mosque enough for the support it has given us – we could not continue to deliver incredible care to our community without such backing,” she said.
