TWO men have this afternoon been cleared by a jury of plotting to help a Bradford murderer get out of the country.
Faisal Chaudhary, 34, of Grantham Road, Ilford, Essex, and Javaid Awan, 33, of Blackburn Road, Ilford, had denied conspiracy to pervert the course of public justice by assisting Danish Irfan to flee to Pakistan.
A jury at Bradford Crown Court unanimously found them not guilty of the charges after considering its verdicts for fewer than three hours.
Mr Chaudhary and Mr Awan looked relieved as the verdicts were announced.
Judge Peter Benson agreed that they should have their travel and hotel expenses reimbursed.
