A YOUNG woman was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a motorbike in Saltaire.
Police closed off Saltaire Road from Fox Corner to Bingley Road while emergency services attended the scene just after 6.20pm.

Horrified eye-witnesses told the Telegraph & Argus a motorcyclist, understood to be in his 40s, had been seen doing a wheelie down Saltaire Road when he was in collision with a woman, aged in her late teens, as she was crossing with another pedestrian.
It happened at the end of Melbourne Street, close to the Nisa store. Two other vehicles were also understood to have been involved in the collision.

Among the first on the scene was a fire crew from Shipley and a PCSO who had heard the commotion nearby and were able to give first aid until paramedics arrived.
A police spokesman confirmed officers had been called to an incident involving a motorbike and pedestrian at 6.24pm and the air ambulance had been turned out - he said the woman pedestrian's injuries were being classed as serious.
The road was still shut at 9pm as investigations continued.
