AFTER their first dance-out of the season in Skipton at Easter, the Flagcrackers of Craven will be donning their kit for a trip to Oxford to perform at its folk event.
Travelling from their Farnhill base, the colourful Border morris team with their characteristic blackened faces (pictured) will be brandishing their sticks and tatters around the city on Saturday.
Dance spots include Oxford Castle Unlocked and the Natural History Museum.
The Flagcrackers, a mixed morris side, with ages ranging from toddlers to septuagenarians, is one of the country’s most vibrant morris teams.
Squire Nigel Foster said: “We are looking forward to our first trip of the year and dancing out in the company of some other great teams for the weekend.”
