MORE than 60 people joined a sponsored walk in memory of a single mother-of-four, of Holme Wood, Bradford, who lost a battle with breast cancer last month.
Friends and family walked from the the estate via Wakefield Road into the City Park with collection tins, stopping motorists and shoppers to get as many donations as possible to help 35-year-old Kelly Wright's children.
Walk organiser Hayley Wall said: "People were very generous. Some were putting fivers in and others just coppers but it all counts. We won't be opening up the collection tins just yet because we want get them as full as we can first. We had a good turnout, about 70 walkers and lots of children on the day. Kelly would have appreciated it."
Upcoming events include a fun day at The Gallopers pub in Wakefield Road on Saturday, May 2, from noon; a race night at Cue Gardens in Odsal and a beauty pageant for men in drag.
